Gateshead Council Record New Podcast Series For ‘Project Groundwater Northumbria’ at Flamingo Heights

The Flamingo Heights team were recently delighted to work with Gateshead Council to assist in the creation of a brand new podcast, which is set to compliment their new fully funded project, ‘Project Groundwater Northumbria’.

The aim of the project is to bring more awareness to the issues surrounding groundwater flooding, an issue that the majority of the public are not aware of - but certainly should be!

It’s a Wrap!

The team at Project Groundwater Northumbria were brilliant!

Not only were they full of knowledge surrounding groundwater and groundwater flooding, but they were also complete naturals at podcast hosting too, and we knew they would be!

During their sessions, they blended on-site recordings with in-person guests and also remote guests, creating a dynamic mix of interactions and discussions!

It was such a pleasure to watch the podcast come together over the last few weeks, and to watch their confidence bloom after each session.

The Flamingo Heights team were able to meet and work with a variety of interesting and incredibly intelligent guests who are professionals in a range of fields!

During PGN’s time at the studio, the team learned so much about groundwater, and the effects of groundwater flooding. These issues were entirely new to us, highlighting the necessity for this podcast!

Coming soon…

The podcast, set to be released very soon, covers a vast range of different topics, some of which include nature based solutions to flooding, flood risk management, and what we can do as a society to help tackle this hidden, but very prevalent issue.

Each episode will feature a distinct guest, all offering invaluable insights and opinions on groundwater flooding, but also offer some insights into their own expert fields.

As always, its such a privilege for us to work with amazing people like the team at Project Groundwater Northumbria, who are working tirelessly to spread awareness on important issues such as this one, and to tackle groundwater flooding at the forefront.

Get ready to be informed and inspired by their passion! This will be a hit!
