Behind The Scenes: Recording the Square One Law podcast “Fear Less, Do More” at Flamingo Heights Podcast Studio

Let's kickstart our exploration of the thriving podcasting scene in Newcastle by shining a spotlight on some of the other podcasting studios this city has to offer. Of course, before we delve into this, let's not forget to give ourselves a well-deserved shout-out too! After all, here at our podcast studio, we take immense pride in our craft, and we've got the portfolio to prove it 😉.

Here at Flamingo Heights Podcast Studio, we pride ourselves on being a fun yet versatile studio that provides a safe space for all individuals of any background to craft and produce their very own podcast content.

Clients are able to access our top of the range equipment and can. choose between two of our recording spaces that we have to offer. ‘The Flamboyance’ our big, bright and airy recording space, and ‘The Nest’, a cosy sound treated room for all your audio recording needs!

We are delighted that our clients, both past and present, frequently praise our space for being a "unique" and "vibrant” environment. Our entire studio has been thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort for all our clients, no matter their requirements or prior knowledge.

From the moment they step through the door, we ensure that everybody feels at ease and ready to embark on their podcasting journey! 🦩

Behind The Scenes: Recording the “My Ordinary Life” podcast at Flamingo Heights Podcast Studio (Podcast to go live Autumn 2023)

We take a lot of pride in our studio and the transformation it has undergone since it was first established in 2021. Opening our doors was just the beginning of a remarkable journey that has led us to become a thriving and accomplished space for all. However, we believe in not just celebrating our own achievements but also uplifting and promoting other podcasting studios in Newcastle.🩷

Now lets get into it shall we? Below we have put together 5 recording studios based in Newcastle upon Tyne who also offer podcasting and audio/visual content creation services. The beauty of podcasting is that it is accessible to all, and the same also applies to running a podcast studio!

Created by Tim Lozinski, TL Multimedia is conveniently located opposite Central Station in the heart of Newcastle. They sell themselves as a creative media and communications agency who offer a variety of media services including film, video, audio, interactive media and video game content.

They have worked for some big names in the past, including Unilever, Pearson and the University of Newcastle.

Our founder Ashleigh King began her podcasting journey at TL Multimedia, so we count them as valued mentors.

Founded by Sophie Milliken MBE, Moja is a creative agency based in the heart of Newcastle city centre. They offer a variety of different services to help clients reach their full potential, including media training, SEO reviews and headshots. They also boast a podcasting studio and offer services that help guide their clients with planning and writing podcasts. As well as this, they can offer editing services, graphics, custom-made trailers, and so much more!

Situated just a 5 minute stroll from the city centre, Blank Studios offers a comprehensive range of services including audio recording, production, and post production for musicians, television and radio. The well established studio has been in business since 2008, their very first studio located in the home of ours, Ouseburn.

Blank Studios was created as part of a partnership between three of the North Easts leading engineers/producers - Sam Grant, Chris McManus, and John Martindale. The trio spent 2 years working on designing and creating their current studio on Warwick Street and proudly opened its doors in April of 2018.

Fourth Audio are an independent recording facility based in Blaydon-on-Tyne. They pride themselves on being a comfortable and relaxing space to record. The founder ‘Lee’ has been working in the music industry for well over a decade as a sound engineer.

Fourth Audio offer sound recording and engineering, mixing and podcast recording and production.

Established way back in 2006, Blast Recording was created by the team behind the hugely successful independent record label ‘Demolition Records’ who specialise in heavy metal and rock music. Just like us, they reside in Ouseburn and are a music production facility who have recently started a new venture into podcasting and voiceover work.

They have welcomed clients from major television shows to local comedians, and even had their podcasts feature on the UK’s biggest podcasting chart. They boast an impressive portfolio of previous clients, including Sam Fender, Arctic Monkeys and Take That.
