From Aspiring Journalist to Podcaster
As the daughter of a writer, I dreamed of becoming a journalist a
s a child aged ten. With my love of creativity and colour, my dream of becoming a journalist developed into a love of podcasting as I grew older.
With the fruition of my podcasting studio, Flamingo Heights, I finally feel I’m who I was meant to be.
A big part of my journey was being diagnosed with ADHD and learning to understand who I am. Throughout my life, I’ve often felt like I thrive in ‘creative chaos’. I felt safer when things were busy, and I needed to switch my attention often.
Over the years, I’ve told my ADHD story several times on my podcast, NurtureYourZest. I’ve come to terms with my diagnosis and become a storyteller. After years of feeling like I had to squeeze my wacky ‘round peg’ personality into a ‘square hole’, I’ve finally found my place in the world.
My Story…
Rather than retell my story here,
read it on The Pattern (link below). I want to thank them for featuring me along with Christopher Owens for taking the wonderful photos used in the article.
Read my podcasting story.
Thanks, Chris!
