Our Impactful Journey with Mamma Social The Podcast!

We recently bid a fond farewell to Mamma Social Co after producing 39 podcast episodes together!

Our journey began in June 2024 when founder Kayleigh Laverick and co-host Lauren Causer approached us to bring their vision to life—a community-driven podcast tackling the real challenges of motherhood, isolation and loneliness. We clicked instantly and knew we had to be part of it.

Every Monday, lovingly dubbed #MammaSocialMonday, Kayleigh and Lauren filled our studio with fun and laughter.

As Mamma Social Co grew, they moved production in-house, shifting to an audio-only format that better suited their future plans. While we’ll miss our Mondays together, we fully support their decision and are so proud of what we created together!

The Proof is in The Numbers!

When Mamma Social Co first approached us, they were recording the podcast on their phones. So, they were looking for a team of professionals to help them improve both the audio and video quality of the podcast.

They believed that a higher quality podcast would really improve their metrics and engagement, and they weren’t wrong!

During the 7 months we worked with Mamma Social Co, we achieved:

A Peak in Monthly Downloads and a Surge in Youtube Watch Time 📈

  • The podcast’s watch time rose, especially in November, which saw a HUGE watch time of 179.87 hours!

  • YouTube subscribers grew from 0 to 110, signalling a growing audience.

  • YouTube Shorts averaged 500 views per short, steadily building engagement and expanding the channel’s reach.

  • Their launch episode with us, ‘The Phantom Gush - The Return of Mamma Social The Podcast’, garnered an impressive 278 views, marking a strong start for their journey!

Downloads Soared & Reach Expanded Globally 🚀 🌎

  • Both podcast downloads and video views experienced strong upward trends.

  • The peak in downloads reached 9,200 in November 2024, marking a surge of over 230%—the largest spike since the launch!

  • The podcast saw notable global growth, especially in the U.S. and Singapore.

But How Did We Do This?

It’s great being to share the news of an increase in podcast metrics, but of course, you’ll be wondering how we achieved this.

We’re definitely not going to share all our tips and tricks, but here are just a few ways we helped Mamma Social Co really level up their podcasting game.

Eye Catching Thumbnails 👀

Think of it like this, a bland podcast thumbnail, or no thumbnail at all is a bit like a dusty book on a shelf - nobody is going to grab it. However a good, eye catching thumbnail is like a BIG sign that says ‘BEST STORY EVER’ - of course you’re going to want to have a look!

You may have heard the phrase about judging a book by it’s cover, well in this case - a good cover gets clicks. If your thumbnail is striking, people are going to want to share your episode, and that’s free marketing!

At Flamingo Heights Podcast Studio, we LOVE crafting custom thumbnails for our clients, because we see results (and we love any opportunity to let our creative juices flow!)

Is it any wonder then that YouTube views for Mamma Social The Podcast surged by over 230% in November 2024 - just look at that intriguing thumbnail! 👀

A GORGEOUS Custom Set Design 🎨

First impressions matter, and if your set looks professional, people will assume your podcast content is top-tier. Plus, a great looking set does wonders for your brand identity, making your podcast instantly recognisable.

A great podcast set also helps your podcast secure brand sponsorships, because brands want to be seen in a polished, professional looking space, and a good set really screams that you mean business!

We worked with Kayleigh and Lauren to craft a custom set design for Mamma Social The Podcast that resonated with their brand and sponsors, felt comfortable and also looked GREAT.

Isn’t it a beauty?! 😍
